Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns are used to protect broken teeth or those teeth that have large fillings. Crowns also help prevent teeth from cracking. If you have a tooth that is sensitive or painful when biting now might be the best time to have a crown placed before the tooth needs a root canal.
Bridges are crowns that are placed on either side of a missing tooth to replace that missing tooth.
Our digital impression technique is one of the greatest advances in modern dentistry. No more messy impressions, and with this technique, we have the ability to select the best material for your personal needs.
What are the steps for a crown or bridge procedure?
  1. Prep the tooth
  2. Scan the tooth with our digital impression machine
  3. Make a temporary crown
  4. Cement the temporary crown with a temporary cement
  5. Send the digital impressions off to the lab wirelessly
  6. Wait 2-3 weeks for the lab to make the crown
  7. Come back in to have crown cemented
